Pear Helen

With Schladerer Williams Liqueur

Ingredients

For 4 servings:

  • 4 pears
  • 500 ml water
  • 100 g sugar
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 150 g chocolate
  • 4 tbsp. Schladerer Williams Liqueur
  • n.b. vanilla ice cream and cinnamon

The pear:
Put water with sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan and bring to a boil over low heat. Meanwhile, peel the pears. When the sugar is dissolved and the solution is simmering add the pears and steam for 15 minutes. While they are cooking, periodically baste them with the sugar water. Then drain and let cool completely, preferably in the refrigerator.

The chocolate:
Place whipping cream in a small saucepan and heat gently – be sure not to let it burn! When completely heated, remove the cream from the heat, add the chocolate in small pieces and stir until completely melted. Do not reheat or even bring to a boil!

Serving:
Place a chilled pear on each plate, drizzle each with 1 tablespoon of Schladerer Williams Liqueur and top with the still-warm chocolate sauce. Add vanilla ice cream and cinnamon as desired, serve and enjoy!
